This deli has been around as long as I can remember on the east side of town. They make great sandwiches, salads, Italian entrees and have an extensive catering menu. Meats, cheeses, toppings etc. are always fresh and the highest quality. If you're in the Tanque Verde/Catalina Hwy area at lunchtime, stop in for a great sandwich!

Great food and I love that it seems like a family place all the way to the top.

Good food. I really enjoyed my sandwich. There macaroni salad is great. A little pricey but worth treating yourself every once in a while.

Every sandwich they make is made with love, I'm sure of it. Everything that goes in their food is high quality and so fresh. I ate the croissant delfino and it was delicious. Staff is super friendly and accommodating.

Minestrone soup is the best. With half a sandwich, it's just right. No food coma!!

Absolutely the best Deli in Tucson. Using only Boarshead meat and cheese products, Cliff makes the best Pastrami on Rye this side of Chicago. He actually has the Rye bread shipped daily from Chicago. A main stay on the Northeast side for +38 years, it's an easy right turn off of Tanque Verde road, just 200 feet past the Catalina Highway intersection. Stop in for a takeout order before going up the mountain. Their catering service is great as well.

Fortunato's deli uses Boar's Head deli meats exclusively, this makes their sandwiches way better than the rest. But thats not the only reason to come here, the variety of sandwiches, pastas, and italian eats are more than enough for you to stop in.

Authentic Italian deli. Big portions and quality ingredients. Also the friendly people working there make the atmosphere positive.

Eww. If this is the best Italian Deli in Tucson, there are no Italian Deli's in Tucson. When I walked in ,first impressions were good. Nice space, pleasant staff. Lots of seemingly nice sandwich choices. I had the Italian sausage sandwich. It wasn't. The sausage was a dry, flavorless tube of mystery meat. The marinara sauce on the sandwich lacked any depth, and probably came out of a jar from the Safeway across the street. And the green peppers on it were an overcooked mush. My wife had the wedding soup and 1/2 turkey/cheese sandwich. She said the soup tasted exactly like the Gordon Foods wedding soup that she got at the cafeteria in the Mid-Michigan community college where she taught for 25 years. Sandwich was ok, but could have done better assembled from ingrediates from Safeway. Seriously, "The best Italian Deli in Tucson"? What a crime.

Fortunato's makes the best sandwiches on Tucson's east side. The staff is very friendly. The macaroni salad reminds me of my grandmother's, and the boxes of Italian cookies on the counter could have been made by my aunt Mary. My favorite is the Super Sub - Italian Style, but I also like the New Yorker and the Reuben.

I've been coming to Fortunato's for about 10 years now. It is one of the top delis in Tucson in my opinion. I usually stick with the Sub Super Italian Style, but sometimes I deviate from my habit and get the Croissant Dofino or the Meatball Sub. The service is always friendly, though sometimes a tad slow. Highly recommend this deli!
